Lane Reductions on Anthony Henday Drive June 25th-27th, 2011

AHD Southbound will be reduced to one lane Saturday, June 25th from 6am until the afternoon between 100th Ave and 87th Ave.


AHD Northbound will be reduced to one lane Saturday, June 25th from 9am until Sunday afternoon between 87th Ave and 100th Ave. This same reduction will also occur 7am-9pm on Monday, June 27th.

100 Ave Closed Monday, June 20th 2011

Access to 100 Ave at AHD Southbound will be closed from 8pm-6am. Access will still be available from AHD Northbound. Detours along 87th Ave and Whitemud Drive are available.

South Bound Anthony Henday Reduced to One Lane Wednesday, June 15th 1pm-5pm

The east (fast) lane of Anthony Henday Drive South Bound will be closed between 87th Avenue and Whitemud drive.

Project Overview

The Project consists of the design and construction of a systems interchange at Anthony Henday Drive (AHD) and Stony Plain Road / 100 Avenue in Edmonton, including modifications to AHD between Whitemud Drive and the CNR Edson overpass in west Edmonton. The modifications also include ramp reconfigurations at Whitemud Drive, 87 Avenue and 111 Avenue.

The scope of work for the Project includes:

  • A systems interchange with AHD passing over both Stony Plain Road (westbound) and 100 Avenue (eastbound);
  • Loop ramps in the northwest quadrant and the southeast quadrant and elevated directional ramps passing over Stony Plain Road for southbound-eastbound and over 100 Avenue for northbound-westbound movements;
  • Directional ramps in all four (4) quadrants;
